Hoot - The Working Video 3

Sensor Controlled Hoot Bot

This lesson introduces the concept of controlling an LED using a sensor. It demonstrates how a sensor can detect an action or object and respond by turning on the LED.

In this activity, the Hoot Bot is built with a sensor-controlled LED circuit. When the sensor detects an object or action, the circuit is activated and the LED lights up, showing how sensors can make robots respond to their surroundings.

What You Will Learn

Through this activity, you will explore:

  • Basic understanding of sensors in robotics

  • How a sensor can control an LED

  • How robots respond to their environment

Materials Used

To build the sensor controlled Hoot Bot, the following materials are used:

  • Sensor module

  • LED

  • Resistor

  • Breadboard

  • Battery

  • Jumper wires
